This is a picture of me hold a baby pig that burned our house down:( I was about 6 years old and we had a litter of baby pigs on our back porch because the stupid mother had waded into our pond and got stuck and drown:nod: It is a true story. We brought the babies home and put a blanked around them with a heat lamp to keep them warm. The lamp fell against the blanket and caught fire. While at church our neighbor ran into the church yelling at the tops of his lungs that our house was on fire. The whole church ran outside and true enough it was engulfed in flames. My mother who is an animal lover immediately ran into the burning house to save the pigs. There were no fire departments nearby it took them 20 minutes to get to our house and she didn't want to wait. She ran into the house stepping of burning wood and burning her feet (not seriously) to save the pigs. The pigs had already escaped. By this time the fire department arrived and were only able to save my mother piano:( all my childhood went up in smoke. The next day the local paper came to take picture of the house and thought it would be cute to take this picture of me holding the baby pig with a band aid on his nose where it had gotten burned and ran the story in the paper. (why pic has such poor quality) This is the only picture I have from me at this age. It really Sucks. Grandparents have tons of my older brother and sister but me being the baby they forgot about me:rofl: Now being a parent I can understand why.

I have tons of these kinds of stories:lol: I think the only one that really enjoys them are me. I am starting to remember my childhood very fondly and how times were so good back in the late 60 and 70 were people were so nice to each other and had time to say hello and sit and chat on the front porch. Where you actually new your neighbor and there kids and not someone you just pass bye everyday. I sometimes miss the small town life.

"sigh" it sucks. I hate not knowing my neighbors after 16 years in the same house. Everyone is always to busy with there own lives. Our kids will never know what it was like and cant even imagine what we are talking about. Sorry. I have a little sentimental feelings going on. :slap: OK I am fine now=D
