This series were taken mostly around Ithaca, NY there were so many Wonderful Waterfall around that area that we have never seen before. One trip is not enough. We visited Taughannock Falls,
Robert H. Treman State Park & Buttermilk Falls State Park. Plan on going again real soon to visit the ones we didn't get to.

This looks a lot like a place near Westfield, NY we called "The Gorge" where we spent many a summer going primitive-the water was soooo very cold! Brings back memories.

This reminds me of a summer camp I went to. Of course, the waterfalls there weren't quite as awesome. They were awesome, but not quite as awesome as this.

Intense stratified geology, definitely not volcanic. Would love to see this redone in CGI, just for the challenge.

No this is sedimentary rock-shale or slate, not sure of the terminology. I spent a lot of summers in similar locations in N.Y. so have first hand experience. It's beautiful to be sure.

Nice shot! You should consider getting a few pictures of Chittenango Falls if you're going to be in the area... it's only an hour and a half from Ithaca, and it's a great drive this time of year. Thanks for sharing this shot with us!:)
