I like the "hide-a-way" one a little more... It has that special hidden feel to it that makes it more a secret place!

I prefer the lighting of the 1st with the layout and faerie of the 2nd. If you can combine the two, or even take the faerie from the 2nd and put her in the 1st, imho that would be awesome! They are stunning deviations in and of themselves tho so no worries. Take your own advice and take it seriously...

i prefer the hide-a-way deviation
although the rest of the image has a lot of details to look at, the first thing you focus on is the girl in the center and the girl in the hide-a-way deviation fits in there quite nicely

I have the same problem! (Although it's been a long time since I entered a contest. )

I love them both, hon so it was hard but I ended up voting for 'A Fairie's Hideaway'. Majority rules though!

I have the same problem than you. Sometimes I submit my work to certain contest and when I come to look at the other entries... ... they are always better than mine.

Anyways, If I were you I would submit "A Faerie's Hide a Way".. it's lovelly!!!

I think the other thought might be more to a better look over all.

but its the criteria they judge by I guess that the thing and that could be different depending on who 's judging...
